This is the command used to initialize the modem. This command should put the modem into a verbose response state (e.g. modem should respond to commands with OK instead of 0).
This is the command sent to the modem when a ring is detected. Ordinarily this field is left blank.
When this item is checked, the modem will buffer speed differences between the Mac-Modem link and the Modem-Modem line (this is known as “normal” mode as opposed to “direct” mode).
